Poem: Silken light

The colors hold fast
at the edge of the night,
cradling the bittersweet frost in their hands.
Silken veils slowly rise,
carefully woven
from copper, silver, and gold.
And cold white air,
dipped in ink—
like thoughts on the shore of time.

Es halten die Farben
Am Rande der Nacht
den zartsüßen Frost in der Hand

Seidige Tücher, die langsam sich heben
sorgsam gesponnen
aus Kupfer, Silber und Gold

Und kaltweiße Luft
in Tinte getaucht
wie Gedanken am Ufer der Zeit.
